boom and pop
I get like this with the beating of a drum.
Take that, ties that bind !
this fire burns
rope.
thank you Taiko.
thank you god of sizzle.

the work of the stick is not downward -
attempting to return to Earthly systems
where the worm and compost scrounge -
the focus is upwards
flowing from wand
to sky.

the boom and pop is not a show,
it is real -
as real as anything loved.

the taiko master knows
she is not to accept praise
- it's the sizzle.

I will not praise
I will not idolize
I will not even clap.

Instead, I will throw
myself into the stream
and hope it takes me.

I love the Taikos! Let them take you, carry you downstream, or into the clouds.
Feel them resonate within your bones, let your heart beat in synch with each boom.
Thank you, for the spirit-music moment.

Yo SkaaDee,

This is very fine.  I like Taiko drumming, and so do my Japanese kin folk.  Beat that drum.  Boom and pop indeed.

Thanks,
my friends,
for reading.

Even a poem can't describe its power.
