Daylight was drenched,
and soggy pathways
forbade trespassing
by the riverside.

A mystical mist
hangs tentatively
over lady Susquehanna,
and the birds are quiet.

One can sense and feel
ominous omens,
portent of possible floods,
rising ravaging rivers.

Yet I discovered early buds
on many trees and shrubs,
and walked away
with a smile.

Mother Nature is beautiful
in all her weather gowns!

Beautiful my friend...we had early buds down her...then a freeze (goodbye buds!). Now we have later-early buds...hmmm.

It's a soggy week, not at all what February should be in NE Pennsylvania. There should be snow on the ground.

But I cherish Mother Nature's offerings no matter what she gifts.

The Susquehanna is a beautiful river, a mile wide, and a foot deep.
