Daylight was drenched, and soggy pathways forbade trespassing by the riverside. A mystical mist hangs tentatively over lady Susquehanna, and the birds are quiet. One can sense and feel ominous omens, portent of possible floods, rising ravaging rivers. Yet I discovered early buds on many trees and shrubs, and walked away with a smile. Mother Nature is beautiful in all her weather gowns! [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (02-07-2008 06:34 AM).] |

Thanks, friends! It's a soggy week, not at all what February should be in NE Pennsylvania. There should be snow on the ground. But I cherish Mother Nature's offerings no matter what she gifts. |

I really like the images: "mystical mist hang(ing)... over lady Susquehanna, and the birds are quiet." and: Mother Nature is beautiful in all her weather gowns(!)" |

Midnitesun, The Susquehanna is a beautiful river, a mile wide, and a foot deep. Nice poem. Bobby |
