My friend, Jaime -

This is a haiku on a photo.  I am doing a lot of these lately and will go back and try to help you see them.

This haiku says:

Cold, insidious
silences all in its wake
with an icy smile

The photograph is of a snow-covered river, frozen with trees on the banks.  The trees have stark bare branches - and there is ice fog.  Ice fog is like ocean fog but the crystals within it are ice.

This picture was taken early in the day - so the sun is not high and bright.  The temperature was -48 below 0 (Farenheit) when I took it.

All is beautiful...but -48?? And I complain about a little frost on the leaves...maybe I need to re-think.
