One Night Stands

Reason caught the whispered word -
in the midst of hot embrace,
passionate kiss,
your skin and mine, sliding -
'love', it was, barely heard. . .
Reason rejected it.
Knew it couldn’t be true.
I didn’t know you, nor you, me.
Us, together . . . love couldn’t be.
Then, you said it again, clearly;
'love . . . doing this'.

Love comes in many forms! Some of it may last a lifetime ~ and other forms for just a few minutes. How long did your love last that night?!? lol

...till the shimmering slickness of our skin went away and we slid to a halt; till the passion ebbed, we caught our breath, the moon hid it's face, the stars twinkled out and the sun rose to see us, strangers, saying goodby.

Until you asked and made me cry with the memory. Until yesterday, today...forever, inside.
