The goddess speaks of "memory"– the sum total of the Cosmic Self complete in awareness: knowing all-space and all-time. She compares it to a flowing river which through ages past and ages hence, though greatly altered in course, flows ceaselessly to the great ocean which feeds the many waters yet is made of these same waters. The source of life itself, she reminds me is nothing but "memory." So think, what do you suppose it means for one person to 'remember'? |

Yo WindWalker, I don’t know that I buy into the “goddess” bit, or the concept of “Cosmic Self”. Other than that, this is a restful write. Bobby |

windwalker, intrigued by your stimulating thought poem. what does it mean to remember... to me, memory is the reminder of mistakes made and the creator of my intuition as the surface color begins to fade... at my age, i feel i'm getting down to the bare metal...oh, memory, dear departing friend, in my edging senility, i fear you, too, will one day be gone. |

I appreciate your fascinating ponderings. First thing we should remember is "Who we are" ... and for me this means we are emanations of God/Goddess with an imprinting right from the divine source.... for me it is a memory of LIGHT, of LOVE, of HARMONY that exists, but we do fail to recognize/remember. We are supposed to forget, so that we can rediscover with new enthusiasm the true gift of life. Precious memory is stored within the DNA too. Everything IS NOW, so if we learn to tap into this NOW, we find our own memories of our own life/lives and also those of our "fellow travelers" ... It's mind boggling, but extremely fascinating. Thank you for your thought provoking write. Love, Margherita |

In that we are inextricably bound up in the whole of the cosmos, we can have a sense of the cosmic self as a sense of belonging. I like Walt Whitman's idea that every atom that belongs to me, as well belongs to you. Art |

WW - I do enjoy where your mind takes you! As for an answer I would say that you will need to find it yourself otherwise it's meaningless! Helen |

I think that it means that every single person contributes to the source of life, to the whole of what has been and will be. The Goddess is very wise, and there are still a few of us left who know this. Beautiful writing as usual. Ida |
