where were we when the light shone bright and peace covered the earth like a quilt sewn in patch-work from the hearts of those who lived and loved and learned where were we when hope burst bright radiating strong upon the scene appearing as the power that pressed into our minds, our souls, our beings were we asleep in shallow beds of ease eyes covered, not knowing, not caring not wanting to see the evident beauty of that which could be, of that which should be and so we live the lives we live as that which surely, simply is |
