I had to laugh when I saw her
standing before the large, carved mirror
at the end of the hall
and heard her say,
"Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who is the fairest one of all?"
The answer is so obvious, you see,
With her long, black hair,
her laughing eyes
and face so fair
She has always looked like Snow White to me.

Her black eyes
seem older and wiser
than those of a three year old.
Sometimes she is pensive
and sometimes vivacious and bold.
I often see the question in her eyes
before she speaks
allowing me the time to find
the answer that she seeks.
She is my great granddaughter.
I never thought I'd see the day
That I would be so lucky
as to join her at her play.

Enchanting words, dear Ida. I know of the charm of three year olds, you can't resist it. And yes what a blessing they are!

Very beautiful!

Love,
Margherita

Ohhh, Ida - I do love this so much.  My littlest friends would do this too - and probably do.  I have seen them do some delightful things, but this is so precious.  You words are like taking a picture, but so much better.

Oh, Ida. This has captured my heart ~ and brought back some memories of my own and my grandmother's antique dresser with a large tilt mirror.

A very charming write!

Loving hug and a big smile,
Linda

Dear Ida, she sounds wonderful, and how lucky she is to have such a great, great grammy. How much luckier can one be, to live on, surrounded by so many precious gifts of life.
