.

Summer
Long ago

There are
White clouds
In a blue sky
Over mown fields
Beyond

The land still so green
Lily pads line the shore
Of the small lake
In town

And all week it’s been
Just that yellow patch
Of light in the deep
Green park forest—

A special place
Where silent cognizance
Was all the prayer
One would ever need

.

John,

This is a lovely sounding enigmatic poem.

I like it okay.

Beautiful imagery, and a solitude that is indeed the prayer-in-itself. This one soothes my troubled breast!

Nature provides such wondrous ground
for intimate contemplation.

Beautifully rendered!

Love,
Margherita
