A piece of glass
is so forgiving
when it connects to skin.

But is it?

What is so soothing
about pain that
just releases so much
emotional pain in
one single moment.

Seeing blood
is not a pretty site
yet sometimes
your own blood
can be your own cure.

The glass is clear
it reflects the image
of your own being.

What is it though?

Does this pain
and the glass
show the emotion that
infects the youth
in a physical form?

Who knows
all I know is
that the time for glass is gone
and the era for pain
has just begun.

I am happy to read that the time for glass is over... As for the emotional pain, keep writing hun and don't forget you can always click on that little envelope across from my name.

Thank you for sharing this one - you know that cutting really bothers me and I am happy to know that is behind you. Hang in there with the painful memories - many of us have survived them and some of us are here for you here at PiP.

You are growing and it is hard, isn't it.

It is very hard to deal with these memories...I've been through to much being 14, I hate it.

So sad to read your words but I do know that words are healing and much better to put the pain there than keep it within. We should not let memories get the better of us because, after all, that's all they are and the only power they have to hurt is the power we ourselves give them. Look up and out!

You have found a positive way to work through the pain/ I am glad the glass is gone. I have gone through the anguish with loved ones in similar pain. Give your words a chance to help others.
