~Reach Out~

When burdens mount their fierce direct assault,
And nagging doubts replete with grief begin,
When at your feet you want to lay the fault,
Unlock your door and bid me enter in.
And when your hold on calm begins to fail,
Or when the floor below begins to sway,
And troubled winds become a swirling gale,
Reach out, for peace is but a hand away.
When life attempts to strip you of your hope,
Or when a constant stream of sorrows rain,
And when at last you've lost the will to cope,
Confide in me to lessen every pain.

Whatever strife this beast of lies creates,
The shelter of my arms for you awaits.
