Puddle stomping is one of my favorite things I love break-up and the mud it brings Dirty tan water splashing high Here’s a splotch of mud in yer eye! Splashing and skipping with sheer delight Puddle hopping into all within my sight Soaking wet from toes to head Fingers, cheeks and nose chilled red ... Mud puddles splashed in by another child I do not race to do the puddle dance wild Getting wet is not my thing Puddle stomping doesn't make my heart sing ... But, when I am driving around in my car And I see a puddle (no matter how far) I can’t help but turn to the left or right Speeding through puddles within my sight I now give pedestrians the puddle scare My car is dirty, but I don’t care Once again, my heart sings like a child As I perfect the puddle drive wild. --- Alison [This message has been edited by Alison (05-01-2008 11:02 AM).] |
