Issues not faced boldly fester in the soul to be faced, never fear through pain, illness or sorrow completing the cycle of life, of death, of life again, from cocoon to wings to the skeleton hanging from a branch... there will always come another Spring, another dazzling display of coloured wings. The cocoon represents the inner journey’s quiet turmoil: a death from which springs a brighter, fuller life; joy, laughter, the extravagance of wings upon the meadow. |

I liked it very much we're always starting again and again. Always look to the futer and rember what shaped your past. "Death cannot stop true love, all it can do is delay it for a while" The Princess Bride |

Well done, WW. The emergence of a butterfly from its cocoon is always an enjoyable metaphor for renewal of the human psyche. Unfortunately, global warming effects have given us a new Spring weather pattern, one that promises to be as 'predictable' as world politics...ie, constant change and chaos. But this post has a ring of hope. |

WindWalker, This is fairly good. For some reason I liked the second strophe better than the first. Bobby |

The cocoon represents the inner journey’s quiet turmoil: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I like that analogy, and how you portrayed the cycle of life in all it's beauty. Excellent writing, WindWalker. |

WindWalker- Another contemplative poem. I enjoyed the use of a cocoon as a symbol for winter and renewal of spring. I also appreciated your wisdom on life in general. Thanks for sharing sharyn |
