Perhaps one day I’ll write again Expressing thoughts that lie within Creating visions with my pen The muse will wake and I’ll begin To spin a fantasy of love, Or dainty snowflake's pirouette To earth, of angels up above Formed from those clouds, I won’t forget The beauty of those days long gone Seen through a child’s innocence Enraptured by each breaking dawn Untarnished by experience. Perhaps one day I’ll write again I don’t know how, I don’t know when. Earth's crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God, but only he who sees takes off his shoes. |

SweetAdorablePoetess~ ANYONE who can envision - 'dainty snowflake's pirouette' - is lacking in nothing~ You excel ... now you and your adorable muse may go to the front of the classroom~ (Speaking of 'classrooms' ... drop in on the Poetry Workshop) Yeah ... we actually have an instructor !!! (and if he dares to assign us a Sonnet ... I'll need your help getting my da-dums in line) Love you gal~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

Denise, It's nice to see someone else from in the city of Philadelphia. Your poem works well. Let's not forget, William Blake wrote both "Songs of Innocence", and "Songs of Experience". Bobby, from the Port Richmond hood of Philadelphia. [This message has been edited by Robert E. Jordan (04-28-2008 12:20 PM).] |

Denise!!! You're back! ~ You may not believe that you are, but your muse just showed us otherwise! "To spin a fantasy of love, Or dainty snowflake's pirouette To earth, of angels up above Formed from those clouds, I won’t forget" ~ Sheer poetry! Loving hug and a great big smiley face! Linda |

Thank you all for your lovely replies. I wrote this out of frustration last night. Just can't understand why I don't write anymore. It used to be second nature. At least it felt that way. Several poems a week was common. And then one day, nothing. Ah well, I guess it's all part of the plan. Thanks for the invite, Marge. I do check in there from time to time. You never know who is lurking in the shadows! Yo Bobby! I think it's only you and me here from Philadelphia. I guess it's not a very poetic city. Not surprising. In fact I'm hard pressed to think of anything good about this city anymore, other than the soft pretzels and cheesesteaks. I'll miss them when I'm gone, which will be as soon as possible! Thanks again for the replies and encouragement, everyone. Earth's crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God, but only he who sees takes off his shoes. |

As long as you write so beautifully as this, surely your muse has not been silenced. Very well done Pepper |

I am glad your muse returned you write so well. I can certainly empathize with the pain of a muse on vacation. Mine seems to run off at the least little whim. Hugs sharyn |

Denise, such a pleasure to read your poetry again. It seems to me nothing changed... you always were and will be a great poet. The next time your muse is stubborn, just send it to me. I will give it such a hard time, it will be glad to return and stay with you. |
