an itch, nothing more than a feeling one could not put finger upon ..... yet a feeling nevertheless I tempted it scratched its surface with questions of origin and depth ..... it began to burn I tried to soothe it with calming words but could not hold my tongue the wet lip of anticipation only grew stronger every passing moment .... every impossible thought .... every sorrowed beat ..... What have I done? ... if I have sored you, know it not meant to be pained ... if I took something not meant to be mine, know that I willingly return it with interests unbound What have I done? ..... What have I not found? In rhythms to a rise the days shall follow ... each Yesterday, each Tomorrow. - Ct/05 |

Maybe it is human nature to prod at things we sometimes should leave alone? It seems like it because I sure am guilty of it at times. This is good. I am really enjoying your poetry and saving it in my Library as I read. Alison |
