I refuse
To forget you

This
I will not do

Come Hell
Set your fires

Burn away
All desire

And see
Who yet inspires

unique!

I refuse
To forget you
..I shall remember you.

This
I will not do
which one? "refuse to forget".

Come Hell
Set your fires
Hell already is a burning place. Will "your fires" make a significance?

Burn away
All desire
death

And see
Who yet inspires
The original fire.

Dear John, if you want to say something about this poem.

have a wonderful weekend!!!

This makes perfect sense to me, John I read it just the way you wrote it and I like it just the way it is.

I woke up this morning and wrote this as I think it may be one you missed.

Standing tall
she entices him with her flower
the mighty trunk trembles
like a great golden shower,
everything is covered.
Tree sex

Yeah, you probably already guessed it was pollen, it is that time of year, it was all over my truck...

Joe,

I wish it was as easy
as sex

How happy
I would be

John,

This is very fine work.  I like the way it sneaks up on the punch line.

What a classy poem.....24 simple words, and you express such a subtle volume of meaning.

strong write...powerful words and phrases...and who that has ever written cannot identify to some degree with this...thank you for putting in eloquent words what most of us have felt...
