far removed from the heritage of first beginnings standing peering at the sea ships of latent brigands bearing burdens of establishment founded colonies among the lookers, peering seeking freedom’s face searing native lace in the fires of compliance a tear forms for that which was a heart beats, a sigh appears i peer as those before me heritage aloof, askance alone, native, undone This was inspired by reading Artic Wind's "Symphony with the Wind" as my heritage is Cherokee (several generations back). |

Founding inspiration stirs the heart to seek its own beat, among the gathered harmony of nature. You elucidate well |

You have been beautifully inspired! Such a heritage can never be ignored, it makes the heart and souls sigh and whisper, for too much beauty and wisdom has been lost and the longing for what was never ceases. It is with such intense verses that you bring the spirit of the ancients to new life again. Love, Margherita |

My family recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of our migration from the South to Southern Nevada. The theme of the event focused on the meaning of heritage, and your poem shines new light on the subject in a very powerful way! Art |
