Toerag loved to ice fish, 'twas a passion of his youth
Although he wasn't very good, to tell the honest truth.
But he would keep on trying to fulfill his lifelong wish
To, after all the years of failure, finally catch a fish.

He took his saw, began to cut a circle in the ice.
He had his pole and bait and tackle laid out real nice
But just when he began to saw and cut the ice away
"THERE ARE NO FISH BENEATH THAT ICE!", he heard a loud voice say.

He looked up quick but there was no one anywhere around.
He strained his ears but couldn't hear a solitary sound.
He looked around, looked left and right, looked toward the sky and then
Picked up the saw that he had dropped and started once again.

"THERE ARE NO FISH BENEATH THAT ICE!", the voice boomed out once more
And Toerag stopped again, a lot more shaken than before.
His hands began to shake. Poor Toerag hadn't felt such fear
Since tangling once too often with that wiley Balladeer.

He got down on his knees and folded gnarly hands in prayer.
The voice heard coming from above had given him a scare!
"Are you God?", whispered Toerag, as his voice tried not to crack.
"NO, I'M THE ARENA MANAGER!', the loud voice answered back.

My word, Mike, that was one mighty hysterical closing to an undoubtedly true story!

Toe's real life shenanigans make for great comedic poetry, don't they! lol

Still laughing,
Linda

.

Mike,

Good
I needed a laugh . . .

I know an arena manager
who may like this.  With your
permission I'd like to send it
to him.

Oh, thanks for the smiles!

... now looking forward to Toerag's "vengeance"

This was cute!
