we did our thing from windows
hurry before he wakes playful
watching lucy do her show
his way in his own good time

like stamps stuck together
with our velcro glue hesitation
a virgin mary and her demon
laughing at the freedom feeling

I know you wondered about love
and the other words sound music
I almost did too but then
it didn't matter if you wore it

our shirts didn't need to match
for a better than before fit
as long as our arms and legs could
just get together sometimes

and let the dogs play in our yards
