On The Line

Today I'll push the cares
of my world away from me.
I'm going to Waikiki to enjoy
the warm waters, the sand,
the surf and the sun,
to participate in all the
fun that she offers me.
Riding the pounding surf I'm
catching every wave I can.
Laying upon the beach
I'm soaking up a golden tan.
Off in the distance I
hear soothing ukulele's
Beach bunnies lay beside me
charming me with their company.
From my beach bag a
persistant cell phone chimes.
On the line, its my boss wanting to
tell me to come in to work some overtime.

Very fine poem with sunny beaches...
Made me dream...
