When the trees tremble
Fall begins to whisper in
dusting off kalieoscope leaves
dancing upon the wind,
swirling down to lay
on brittle grass blankets
now mottled grey and brown.

When the trees tremble
we drink hot chocolate,
build massive log-laden fires,
and pull on last years sweaters,
embracing their warmth
months before the winter calls.
But when the trees tremble
they beckon to us all.

A very good poem, you do create some brilliant images in there for certain. It was a joy to read that one.

yes nice poem .

love - "kalieoscope leaves"

"built massive log-laden fires,"

I'm pretty sure "built" should be "build" to agree with tense.

Marge- Thanks for the comments and the welcom.
Skadee- you're quite right and thanks for the heads up.  This really should have had a few more rewrites.

beautiful. When the trees tremble, the sorrow was off .In silence, they wait for their tune to speak.

Beautiful poem.

I love leaves as they tremble in the fall and during a summer wind storm.

Hi Sharyn a wonderful poem once again...I enjoyed as much the two stanzas and the moving reality of the images....
