We stand together, leaning on this old fence Inviting the storm clouds that threaten us Let the rain come Let it come Tell me a story, Joe Tell me one of your fables of yore You and I both know, We aren’t going anywhere soon And the night is so young and willing Let the rain come Let it rain scented flowers And love No more questions to ask We are past all that now But tales to tell Of the lives yet lived I have a story for you, I do About somebody who decided to live forever Among the greatest of things Let the flowers come Let them come |
