Felix learns a lesson early on. When he was new-born, the doctor looked at his mother, and saw a charity case, that wasn’t going to pay. That doctor reared back and smacked Felix on the bottom extra hard. In this so called land of the free and home of the brave, it really pays to have money. Even the illusion of money has its rewards. If people think you have money, why they’ll treat you more than right. Felix is a bright kid. He caught on to that lesson easy. Bobby |

Tammy<333, Yes, I'm afraid it is true. That's not the way it's supposed to be. Not here in the land of the free, and the home of the brave. Bobby |

Yes, I guess it has always been that way, Bobby. I have observed the battle that goes on when someone dies over whatever worldly goods they leave behind and It's not pretty. And I don't think it is going to change anytime soon. Ida |

money is indeed important but I don't have a dime to my name and people are helping me until someone will have some compassion and give me a chance at a job |

'Tis true... My treatment is most often dictated by how I am dressed... and that prompts me to "play" with people... "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Seoulair, Thanks for reading and commenting. I don't know about such things. I'm not a midwife. Bobby |

Ida, Probably not. It's one of the uglier aspects of human nature. Bobby |

There are many things that can't be bought by money, to begin with health and true love. Many might marry for money, but love will stay out of the marriage, etc. etc. There are physicians that talk you into "something is wrong" because they want you to do all the expensive check-ups and others, the true doctors, who assist for free ill people who can't pay. I understand that dear Felix got under the impression that money was IT. I bet he also learned that it wasn't allmighty. We need to awaken to Love. Thank you dear Bobby for this thought provoking chapter. Love, Margherita |

Margherita, You're right. You have to keep a tight rein on your doctor. I have my doctor well trained. We've been together for about 20 years. He'll try and get rebellious now and then. However, I put that down fast. Thanks for reading, and the good advice. Bobby |

Interesting...thinking now of two Beatle song..."I don't care too much for money, because money can't buy me love." and "Will you still please me, will you still need me when I'm sixty four." Both seeming to be revelent for Paul McCartney now that he is sixty four and now that he has been taken to the cleaners by a woman whose love couldn't be bought by his money...James |

John, I don't know how they handle that thing now. When my kids were born, you couldn't get me near the birthing room. Bobby |

Is this why we have birthday spankings? Do you think? Seriously, I like it - but I can't be too serious. I don't think Felix would like it because we have to find humor in the stuff that is most unfunny. A |

Alison, Felix says thanks Hon. He's glad you like it seriously. He's also glad you don't hate him like some of the people that run this place do. Money is very important to Felix. It keeps him fed. Bobby |
