The closed doors. The closed doors look at his back. You know they are insignificant! He will not look back to see nameplates. The sky welcomes a new wonderer, A fellow of its eternity! The hopping meadows and dingy streets, The avenue of drunken city, His doorless rooms and roofless clouds His soulful foods shared with blue urchins… The brass names on closed doors he’ll not see. The sea of wind passes him saying “ A time to go! A time to …” He knows. Chimes whisper in his half deaf ears. He knows at the End The doors shall open To satisfy curiosity. clever talks delay friendship! |
