Sentimental Storm Havoc descends its scythe abruptly Further indignation bears dichotomy Splitting at the stem all rationality A storm in proportion to the store Unseen, insensible; serene, unquenchable Tears cried hard enough to shake the very earth From beneath my feet Finally, to empty me of dreams Let the snows disconcert spring schemes Let the storms roar, and rage Wring the very fabric of this page Scatter all my notes into the wind Blur and blizzard March, up end For that was only the control of pain Poured down like the rain, when time ran out Then suddenly, just still and soundless all about Holes poked into the smooth, soft soil to root When change is just another attribute Linger then, another day, another hour Intangible just tangerine made sour Though to my lips still sweet Even after this, drown the days retreat Heart-warming are the memories still true Could a shower have the power to get over you? When my lack of will floats up to brim upon the stone Then settles back into the love I’ve known For certain spring arrives to shine its light To ease of certain ache, in favor of delight Copyright Kkh 3/21/08 |

A witch cannot stand over a cauldron and chant words nearly as well as you can take them and twist they and make them rhyme so well. |

Kathleen - What a wonderful write! "Could a shower have the power to get over you?" I guess only if you think it has but some things we just don't want to think. Yes, you have moved me with your words. Helen |
