In The Sleepy Forest ~*Marge Tindal*~ Quietly the Winter forest lay sleeping hushed in the morning dew Blanket-of-night was tossed aside by Spring sunbeams breaking through~ Alarming shrill of Mocking Bird shrieking a wake-up call While Red, Red Robin joins in merriment bob-bob-bobbing along~ Grandfather Oak can take a joke though his leaves came tumbling free His new finery of Spring attire will set the forest green with envy ~ Squirrels in scurry-hurry swish of tails in frantic applause ferreting out the acorns hidden with tiny little paws~ Warm winds rustle the undergrowth deep in the forest bed Wake up !Wake up ! Spring is about ... Get up you sleepyheads~ All things fauna and fowl begin a curious yawning Spring has sprung - Winter is gone The sleepy forest breathes on a new Spring-dawning~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

Marge, I am sending a springy kiss your way for this revitalizing vernal awakening! ~ as I now rise s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g and yawning. It has been a looong winter's sleep! De-LIGHT-ful. Love and Spring Light, Earthy |

Marge Tindal, Nice forest. I own a forest like that in the wilds of Virginia. It's an ancestral place, going back to the turn of the century--the seventeenth century. Reminds me, I better drive on down and check it out. Bobby [This message has been edited by Robert E. Jordan (03-06-2008 04:58 PM).] |

Marge, dear Marge! You have no idea how much I needed to see this today! But then again..perhaps you did. We are snowed in with another ten inches headed our way in the next couple of days. How I long for Spring and to hear the robin's song..or even see a blade of green grass. This really gave me a boost and lifted my own heart in song. Love you~Nance In the midst of winter, |

Dear Marge: Spring sounds so beautiful in your wonderful poem! I hope I get to see it soon! The snow is starting to melt but it has a long ways to go! Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

Oh Marge you do paint a beautiful picture of Spring both with picture and words. Spring is such a wonderful time of the year with all the new growth and baby animals and birds. Enjoy a great day dear Lady. A big warm hug to you. Love Lindsay |

I see more and more grass in our back yard as the snow melts here in IL. However, our weatherman says a little more snow is on the way before next weeks warm up. This piece prompts a renewal of anticipation. Rae |
