With Dignity Intact ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ With head held high, I braved the onslaught of indignities. Fortified by my faith and inner strength, I faced my adversary. I stood strong within my sacred space and spoke with confidence. My self-assurance was the result of courageously battling many of life's battles. I have earned my self-respect and would not ever bow before an unworthy opponent. My unwavering belief in myself ~ and in all that I deem holy, steadied my hand and honed my tongue. I spoke with strength and dignity and with the knowledge that there is “might in right”. After speaking both my mind ~ and my heart, I slowly turned and walked proudly away with my dignity and self-respect intact. . “The time has come for man to lay down his arms, and pick up each other.” ~ Linda L.
