 The Monarch ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ Fluttering wings passed me by, ~ White, orange and black ~ against blue sky. A butterfly flitting so fancy free, As I lay ‘neath the elm shade tree. The monarch flew with nary a care, ~ Barely aware that I was there. It landed on a milkweed leaf, ~‘Tho its respite was rather brief. It spread its wings and then took flight, Into the bright, shimmering light. I watched it as it up and flew, Into skies of cerulean blue. . |

The monarch flew with nary a care, ~ Barely aware that I was there. It landed on a milkweed leaf, ~‘Tho its respite was rather brief. Last week I saw the catapillar, and this week the butterfly...so beautiful as is your 3rd eye... Linda..thank you for this... |
