Listen close, do you not hear my song, or am I to be bound to this page, any resonance lost between lines not one note to be freed from this cage? So unfair to have been so misjudged that in silence my song is entombed, wished to be in its' own rightful place where such brilliance could light up a room. Like the stepchild you deem me to be I shall live in these shadows and wait for a chance to perform in the sun while the words from my heart compensate, for while it may not ever be heard, it is there, note for note, word for word. Do I sense a frustrated poet between these lines? Who better to understand this write than another frustrated poet. I've been waiting for this one. Thanks. I think we're all suffering from writers block. Ida |

Hey you... don't you ever give up, ever. I know a little bit about lost causes and music, and after Katrina, I do believe I told someone as long as there is one stick riding in the unpredictable wash of the Missippippi River around that crescent that is my home, there's gonna be a brass band playing on it. Or at least a witch with a kazoo. |

Ida, thanks very much. I wrote a longer reply but my dog of a computer ate it. Doc Serenity, My dear, perish the thought. I'm not goin' anywhere 'till I'm called ( an' then it depends on who's doin' the callin' ).I was just hoping to attract some attention from certain publishers who don't know great stuff when they read it ( LOL ). I hope this finds you well. Doc |
