The Long Night's vigil,
quiet fire
of hopes and dreams,
simple themes,
sparks
tickling above the offerings,
quiet screams
small flames
licking at the fat of life,
wistful wishful seams
binding us all,
together.

hi C....my heater pilot went out last night and I woke knowing for sure that it was winter.  I spent the morning trying to light it..I know that's not the same, but it still makes sense that this would be the time.

I really like it! It reminds me of when my parents and I used to go camping and have a campfire.

I miss having a fireplace although I do have a wood stove... there is something about watching the flickering flames that can make one feel warm inside.
