As lighting strikes the earth
So this has struck my mind.
Never in the farthest, darkest, loneliest corner of my thoughts had this ever occurred;
Moreover, it had never also in the nearest, brightest, most welcoming hall.

What will become of me?
How shall I beseech my soul to face tomorrow?
As of others, when will they excuse this vile gaffe?

As a wave crashes against a cliff,
So this clamors against my temples,
This interminable unease,
The ghastly guilt given only by myself.

While I live—if I live—
Never again shall this befall me.
For as the sun rises from the earth,
So I shall rise above all.

Thanks. =)

Really, I wrote the poem so it's open to the reader's interpretation. So, maybe that's why it's hard to know what it's about. Oh well. =)
