 Dear Child Sleep Dear child, sleep ye sound tonight ‘Neath heaven’s stars where dreams take flight Within my arms I’ll cradle you Till sunrise brings the morning’s dew Sweet baby slumber safely tucked Beneath my breast on which you sucked And dream of womb, of waters warm, Protected there from any harm Oh child of mine, my hearts desire I’ll stay with you through twilight hour I’ll watch you rest, I’ll stroke your head As you lay sheltered in your bed When morning comes you’ll slowly rise As daybreak clears your sleepy eyes You’ll find me here by dawn’s first light So child, sleep ye sound tonight I am nothing special...and my name will soon be forgotten,but I've loved another with all my heart and soul,and to me,this has always been enough.~N.S [This message has been edited by hoot_owl_rn (12-18-2007 10:07 PM).] |
