The spirit grows impatient
now that the turn’s complete
away from the mix and match
of mind and human flesh
that brought the love to ground
from heaven’s holy land.

And when a vision speaks
I listen till I weep
but threats can yet be loving
and the “taking home” a bliss
when ready to offer up
the death of Helen Howell.

Love can’t work forever
when one in mindful state
and the other tied and tethered
to a loveless life
but I wonder how much agony
before that joyous flight.

I wait a woman sad but glad
the ground work’s all but done
because still that last goodbye
no one gifted to predict
the day, the hour, the minute,
or even round about.

He’s taking me, you see
and that’s enough to know
until I return again
to the safety and completeness
of plain and simple love!

Dear Helen, you almost frighten me with this one, there is too much sadness here.
DIVINE Love never lets us down. It always works fine, but we doubt and feel unloved ever so often. It's a pity.

Hope you are fine, we are all in the same boat which moves towards the same exit gate ... yes good we don't know exactly ... but we do know.

Big hugs dear Helen, very sensitive Poetess!
Love,
Margherita

Dear Margherita - Thank you for your caring response but I think the transition is made easier when one is ready to go.  I think too that when we reach the age of introspection each and every one of us are sad because of the things we did or didn't do.  There's no need to be "almost frightened" - I'm just offering not actioning!

My best to you for a very happy festive season.   Helen

I would offer a caring response but I haven't been educated...
how about a bump - smile

dale - education comes in many forms and the learning to smile just one of the things deserving of a certificate.  We mostly create our own bumps in life but when others do it for us there's always something we can put in the back pocket of learning.

Thank you for the bump and smile.

I could be considered tied and tethered but there are so many "things" to be considered before making a life long change and sometimes you just can't think only about yourself or maybe you think about survival and give up the chance for happiness because "to live" you must be able to survive.  Not sure you can understand my feelings but I just call it living in limbo because there is no better solution for now.

for your in depth and feeling poetry

Thank you, M!  Yes, I understand.  I guess my challenge in life is to become a "limbo person" but I'm not there yet and I don't think I ever will be.  However, as you say, there are "things" to consider but when the time is right those "things" become of no importance as I know from past experience.

When one knows what one wants it's easy to bide one's time even if that time should extend behond a lifetime! There is time and still more time and there is love and still more love - so says Helen.

Happy holidays, Maureen!  May 2008 be a rewarding year for you!
