According to Plan Dead brown and yellow fingers fall from the beech tree. No wind to aid in their descent to the land, telling me it is just their time to go. In this black skied early morning life is hushed hearing only the dead fingers tumble down, softly colliding with other fingers and arms, making the dried crackling sound of an old fire that knows its moment will soon be over. "A witty saying prooves nothing" (Voltare) |

Hi, Joe! I was happy to spot a post from you this beautiful, late autumn day! (Well, it is where I'm writing from!) Aww, yes! The cycle of life ~ and all "According to Plan". ![]() Thank you for this peaceful interlude to my day. You truly are a poet, Joe. This was lovely. Giving you a warm hug-o-love, Linda |
