She doesn't understand words the ones he writes- those things he wrote for her, they're just letters on a page shaping pictures she can't see through her camera lens. His words, they don't hold light don't need to flash or color, shade, stretch, or capture completely to satiate the crave for some kind of connection some kind of reflection of feeling. They are lines childish dots and squiggles, missing punctuation and boldly overlain with grown-up emotion and- she is missing out by dismissing the idea that he's made this picture for her out of words. |

K- You always make me laugh out loud, or giggle just a bit. I wrote this for a friend, who wrote a poem for a girl. Trouble was, she's a photographer, she can't see the pictures in words.. No need to hate your poem, dearie, although I am touched you love mine. I'll love yours and hate mine. I think we're the perfect pair. M & M - Thanks guys.. ya'll make me blush. |
