are but caspian gypsies
rhyming their momentary migration

before the silent time windows
when your mind is drawn down
like the shadows of nuns

draping night sided dunes
with the hatred of solace
in their peaceful armor

then is the fragile time
for dark edges to linger
lest the whet of wet liquor

ruin the lonely with love
