Pyracanthus bites my fingertips, the blood-red berries screaming as I drop the shears and rake. Autumn leaves scatter across the yard haphazardly like life... no visible rhyme or reason. Chaos rules all! Vincent painted it true in cobalt blue as black birds flew beyond all rainbows. Why oh why...? |

fine and interesting 'write!'... [rather accurate Botany here as well...for humans who have suffered acquaintance with this shrubbery (though the tiny birds love it so)!] For Dorthy, Vincent, and Ms. "Midnitesun"... I would have the answer to this penning's final question...but, I'm afraid that it is scientific [not mystically poetic/philosophical!] applause! |

Very good piece. I am familiar with the treacherous Pyrocanthus. Type II poet. Its worth the work. |

Ah yes, a delightful write...and Vincent too! Brava! When I was young, I fell off a roof (no, can't say why I was up there) into a dense growth of fire thorn; at the time, though I suppose it saved my life, I was not grateful. *smile* |

oh Icy, there usually is a prick associated with life's sessions.... ![]() Kacy, I love the Vincent and the Oz, but it was the comparison of life and fall leaves that made me smile the most...chaos indeed. ![]() "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Kacy, I love this. I don't know the plant - well, I didn't until you described it! I loved the autumn and your "nother" Van Gogh gem. I wish I had the courage again, to work in my garden (burglars etc), but hopefully will in time again. - Owl |
