the nights are longer now
that the days have shortened
and waiting for you is a line
of ticking clocks talking useless

but then you smile from nowhere
stuck in traffic with a moment
to pretend we both are there
and that I am driving reckless

with no hands on the wheel
and that you have your shoes off
barefoot on the dash board
dancing naked ankled with your prince

then you slip and let me know you
when I was not at all expecting
to fall into your lady tree love
from such an unintentional attitude

but you caught me with my guard down

I do love the romantic side of you, dear D. ...
but "with no hands on the wheel" looks like a double risk!

Very lovely and made me smile too.

Love,
Margherita

warm smiles

especially this....

with no hands on the wheel
and that you have your shoes off
barefoot on the dash board
dancing naked ankled with your prince

brings back youthfulled memories.....

Nice to read you

"barefoot on the dash board"
at the corner of here and there
is the best way to be
stranger darlin'

Nice write.

I particularly like the first verse:

"the nights are longer now
that the days have shortened
and waiting for you is a line
of ticking clocks talking useless"

Embrace the shadows.
