kathryn

gauze of golden waves
we hardly had time
to swallow
the thing
which made most sense
she was
rich black soil
transplanting
spring's sun
creating magik
from the middle
of nowhere
a sister of music
with words
painter of prose
how beautifully
she embraced
her space in life
salvaging great light
from past transitions
her throat fumbled
formal apologies
within green lawns
of home baked cookies
her season's passing
still shower us
like a humming bird
dripping nectar
through clusters
of gardens
she packed love
in our lunches
everyday
wrapping us in scarves of
hopscotch & flowers
sending us
skipping down the street
with diamonds in our pockets
the album opens
she appears
in a white dress
her flowers bloom
again

there will be
a goodness in life
sorely missed

thank you
Leslie

Lee, all the love that she has shown you over the years, will continue to blossom and grow ~ as will you, yourself. You done did her proud, girl!

My love and deepest sympathies are with you. You are strong ~ as was she. May you experience the peace that she has found ~ but hopefully you do not have to join her in heaven, to find it.

Wrapping my arms around you,

Love
Linda
btw, that was one mighty fine heart spill ~ for a mighty fine woman!

obviously a finely personal, heart-felt,
and powerfully emotive 'write!'

A beautiful tribute to an obvious soul of wings and sunbeam.  I felt your heart of heart in this remembrance.  ~ KL

Wow. Obviously this is a personal piece, but you brought me there with you. I'm bundled up cold in the dark on my bedroom floor right now but felt as if I was outside on a bautiful day... skipping in the sun. I've always loves reading you. Take care.

Hupomeno.

Lee, I am so very sorry for your loss.  However, I know that if you could write such a moving and beautiful tribute to your mom, that you understand so much more than many of us (especially me) have yet to learn.  I am, however, very deeply happy that you had such a wonderful relationship with your mother.  That must be very, very special and I am sure it will carry you through many trials and tribulations.

Hugs, tears and love

Lee J, know that I am with you in spirit, holding your hand, as your mother, Kathryn, is laid to rest this day.

Loving you,
Linda

Lee J - Thsnk you for taking us through your memories in such a lovely way.  I'm sure there are many more for you to treasure and write about.  My thoughts are with you and yours as you remember all the little things that combined to make Kathryn such a special person.  Hugs ~ Helen
