.

Down the street
All the trees are finally
In some degree of color

This year
It’s yet warm enough
For open coats
Though it’s certainly wise
For everyone to have something on
Just in case

Still it’s hardly fashionable
For a young woman
To wear a kerchief
Indoors on her head
Unless she has no hair

Now we feel
The dark monk
Is always with us
The dominant participant
In our days

As if afraid direct words
Might then provoke him
We too are careful
In what we say

Go slow
The leaves
Are beautiful
I love Autumn
Yes I know

See you soon
Take care
Yes of course
And you as well

I love this poem truly.

why do I feel that the title "Halloween" made a big black cloak on this poem?

Why do you choose this title? Was it because it was  Halloween Day or because you used it to hint that your poem was in Halloween culture which means playing around and having fun)?

.

Both because it was the day I wrote it
and to, on Halloween, contrast a reality
to the fantasies of what is frightening
and how it is dealt with.
