One Day at a Time The pounding has slowed, though the beat is still strong. The winds have died down, but I'm where I belong in the midst of it all, in this tangle of old where the color of blue still has me in hold. I march to the rhythm that paints me this way, afraid of the peeling of layers to gray where beneath rise the tears that cling to the known. Here with my yesterday thoughts all alone. So, I say to myself, "It's one day at a time" in the candle light shadows between words of rhyme. In the depth of my heart, in the eyes that see true, "It's one day at a time" that will help get me through. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." (Will Moss) [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (10-30-2007 06:15 PM).] |

fine personal, emotive 'write!' I am especially fond of: “in the midst of it all, in this tangle of old where the color of blue still has me in hold…” …afraid of the peeling of layers to gray where beneath rise the tears that cling to the known. Here with my yesterday thoughts all alone.” AND, the ending: “It's one day at a time" in the candle light shadows between words of rhyme. In the depth of my heart, in the eyes that see true, "It's one day at a time" that will help me through(!)” Applause!! |

"I march to the rhythm that paints me this way, afraid of the peeling of layers to gray where beneath rise the tears that cling to the known. Here with my yesterday thoughts all alone." One day at a time works for me, M-Lady! Wish I had more time to spend here in the blue though. *hugs*.....jo |
