Misty Mauve Mountains

A haunting soulful melody rises
from the moonlit shores of a lost lagoon,
then soars above misty mauve mountains
to mingle with ancient whisperings
in mystic mourning winds.

I turn my face
into the bewitching breeze
to better hear
the distant tremolo of a loon
dancing on the winds of time
in synchronicity
with all who’ve gone behind
the veil of endless night
into pure-forever light,
merging future with past,
in a magical place
where all the walls of indifference
crumble into nothingness,
and all become as one,
in eternal cosmic dust.

WOW! (and I seldom use that word)...

simply superb!

I especially LOVE:

"A haunting soulful melody rises
from the moonlit shores of a lost lagoon,
then soars above misty mauve mountains
to mingle with ancient whisperings
in mystic mourning winds(!)"

most serious, long-sustained applause!!

[a poetic 'standing ovation' for this
  grand-fine 'write!']

Dear Kacy, you have been beautifully inspired to write this magical piece.

Of course I hope that from that nothingness and cosmic dust, new creation will endlessly take place.

Love and hugs.

Kacy....hi!  I want to be there...loving the loon whose tune I've never heard.

Kacy - I hope it's a very large place because I'm sure many of us want to go there.  I sure do!  Tremendous write!

All these wonderful replies just serve to prove that walls of indifference really do crumble when we give and receive with open minds and hearts. Thank you each, for taking time to read and reply!
