Teaching Myself Winter October ends its métier Impression painted limbs Bathed in bisque of moon glow night Warm, wet dreams day whims Cohorts of caned and able seats Rock gently cottage hymns Upon a teak wood cushioned chair In pastel scent of good time trims Another stage was set in time Dawn flames a hearth of stone Against the sudden fall to earth Of winter’s chilling tone October ends its grand remand Attending guests wind blown Remembering a round in turn Preparing limbs bemoan The tears of solitude approach Though lightly is their weight A snowflake’s sigh again to lie Upon love waiting late Copyright Kkh 10/25/07 |

Not so sure of the A snowflake’s sigh again to lie Upon love waiting late Snow round these parts isn’t a blessing as it is to you Northerners But I could sit in a rocker, cushioned, and watch the trees turn, then shed. Enjoyed |

Now let me see, which stanza should I quote as my favourite?!? After due consideration, I chose the following: "October ends its grand remand Attending guests wind blown Remembering a round in turn Preparing limbs bemoan" ~ Yeppers! That be it! ![]() May your spirits rise, this fall! Loving hug, Linda ![]() |
