Ache Of Love

Empty is the ache
that pains deep
within my chest,

Voice I long to hear,
such sweet intoxication
soothing my ear,

Makes me happy and blessed,

Hungry for your laughter,
I sit, starving, wanting
to eat of your mind,

Eat you up like a wolf,
stomache growling,
it's dinnertime,

Let me feast upon you,
every part of you,
I must devour,

For then, I become,
a love thirsty,
vampire,

Oh, the longing,the desire,
It burns within me,
a flame, your love ignites
my fire,

Mourning like a dove,
cooing lonely sorrow,
I am lost without your love,
Hope comes new,
with each tomorrow,

Nothingness, silence,
a void, dark existance,
an empty space,
where you should be,
beside me,

Holding my hand,
kissing my fingers,
my neck, ever so gently,
your eyes on mine,
two lives combine,

My arms inside yours,
sweet love warming us,
all over from head to toe,
You know, you are the other half,
to my soul,

I cannot breathe one breath,
without you any longer,
Oh, this ache grows stronger....

Come my love,
come to me,
breathe love into my soul,

So that I might live,
being completly loved,
becoming whole,

let not my heart die,
from being apart,
For then do I,
have only, half a heart,

Blind I walk alone,
for you are my eyes,
I miss you darling,
so deeply I miss you,

Let the heavens of blue,
hear my lonely crys,
for death would be but a blessing
in disquise,

Than to live without,
your love in my life,

Soothe my ache,
come lay your love balm,
upon my wounds,

Pour it thick,
lay it all over,
heal, soothe this ache,

Please my love , Please,
before my heart does break,

Bare your mind and soul,
deep into me, brand me with
your love, so I , like dove,
will be set free,

Oh this ache of Love,
this ache of love,

Is killing me......

Oh, the beauty of your words, the music and your sweet plaintiff voice, were exceptionally moving. In fact, I want to go back and experience it all over again! Well done!

WOW! Thanks Linda, I needed the encouragement as of late.

It would be nice to hear
other poets reciteing
their poems as well on here!

I would love to hear you
especially with that
Canadian voice!

I know the feelings of having half a heart...feeling like a part of my heart is missing...you have presented this wonderfully...
When I am apart, I try to focus on the value of love, the lessons of love that can be learned, the joy and grace of love that abounds inside a heart, even though physically alone love has no boundaries...James

Well that was so sweet. I remember that voice so clearly, It was a pleasure to have you again, I mean hear you.
Love that accent, it makes that enticing side of the poem so much more more... well warm.

Oh, Wow!  Beautiful, sad, loving, sensuous, and just everything rolled into one.  A pleasure to hear you and that ache, yes, many know it well but here you write and speak it best.

Beautiful, ARH!  What a treasure to hear the words spoken as they were intended to be read.

It's so great to "hear" your voice accompany your piece ... really well done, much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

ARH

I set up my speakers just so I could hear this.  You caught my eye as the first to combine voice and music (I may have missed others .. not sure) -- and I wanted to hear yours first.

I listned twice in a row.  This is beautiful.  I have enjoyed your poetry, but to hear you read it .. well, it is an amazingly beautiful experience.

Back to the top of the first page you go.  You deserve to be there a long time.

Well written.  Well read.  Well done!

Thank you,
Alison

Thank you..all of you, I am greatly humbled by your words, especially Allison who set up speakers to hear little ole me?

My goal is to tocuh the reader in a way, that makes them feel something they have never felt
before, reaching deep inside and making them feel and see the world different. To feel my love, my passion, as if it is coming right off the page.
If I have succeeded in that, I am rewarded from your replies!

Glad you listened, I will try to do another one...I am working with James at the moment for his poem...hopefully it will sound as beautiful as his poetry!

WARM HUGS~and.....

ARH,
That was a first for me and I confess to enjoying your presentation. Thanks for going the extra mile. Well done.

This, dear, reached out and embraced my heart, the theme song was of course, from one of my favorite movies...and your voice reading just makes it that more special...I love this, so much, listening to your voices...how does it work?

Well, however, it was absolutely beautiful...thank you
