I am here to share, my confession, the hell of this dark depression. You wait for the time to go, when it's not as easy for your scars to show. It's not something to face all alone, you just can't seem to find a safe home. If and when you make it through, you pray for a better life to hold onto. You know people care, they want to help, to share. So you take your medicine, attend your therapy, every one looks forward to your recovery That day of course is not likely to come. Your not going to let on. As you cover stains of tears, fight the compulsion of your fears You present with decorum and grace not wanting anyone to see your disgrace or the pain and lonliness on your face. Gradually you relinquish your dreams. Fight to normality is defeated by anguish, drugs, silent screams. there’s no such thing as a normal day as you try, to please the gallery. No one wants to see you miserable so you paint on a smile all the while knowing that the damage is, irreversible. |
