In the heart unbroken
there remains a host of prayers unspoken
based upon assumptions
of love’s entitlement;
with reality’s connection,
and bits of life reflection
on both the here and dear departed,
it is no wonder
with confusions of eternal love’s delusions
that old Saint Valentine was martyred.
