Tasty morning only thing on stove beautiful days behind velvet drapes to get you through the day begins with a cracked egg a beautiful face the fish market call one waits to be bundled and breaths vapourise Polish mornings radiated girl sips the coffee brews and the guest sits. Don't run away from dazed day breaks resist foreign calls the only thing to see you through fresh bread friendships at the edge of what touch words from cognac glasses click in Polish bistros new generations drink from old glasses the feelings you get east euro evenings. Escape simple pleasures? Drinks for words kind familiar light an eastern release generations drink through a western touch a Hollywood favorite a local fan story life goes on night and day... can't find out why resist life goes on the same cognac glasses, smell of rye bread simple chopped liver life the way it is mornings and evenings sonata continues on cloth streets herring bone tables. don't go from all this my beautiful face it will all come back the chopped liver, herring rye bread newspaper spreads will wait for bundles slap you on the back on vaporized morns and coal filled tales... Polish border town nights.. with blond highlights. |

While my reply is absolutely irrelevant to your poem, the gist of your writing brought me back to one of my favorite stories of Dr. Zhivago... and henceforth, will be of the poems for me to come back to, to admire, emulate, and aspire to. |
