"Time" Time is like a river flowing Always moving, never slowing Taking joy in our not knowing From whence it came and where its going For Time, a thousand years seem short Cares not for jury, judge, or court Because Time is the bitter sort Who takes our youth and life for sport But with its knowledge, like a sage Time gives us wisdom with our age It calms our anger, lessens rage And in the end, destroys our cage AMdG |
