Words Abundant-- Not lacking for words… But putting them together with a voice Nearly impossible… Listen to the words I don’t speak And know how much my heart feels for you Listen to the words lost in translation While I stutter myself into silence So many words… There is so much to say Yet I cannot move them from my heart to my tongue This voice I use in fear of stumbling over my own stupid sound If you could just crawl into my heart Pen the word-puzzle together and put sound to it— Any sound! Some kind of sound… Then you would know what truly lies hidden there… There beneath the layers of my own stuttering self… Words abundant— Find them if you can… Hear them… Feel them… Know them… If only they can even begin to convey my heart for you My friend… ~dgvarner 050507 (For:abc) |

we all seek the words, but to go from feeling them to speaking, that is the hard part. wonderful poem. |
