Precious Times

"Today is mine.
The past belongs to God."

The last night
I held my
sweetheart tight,
my wish that I
could remember
it forever.

She was a light
that lit up
my life,
within the
precious times
we shared together.

The poem was nice, but I don't agree with the first stanza or two lines.  "today is mine, the past belongs to God", that is very untrue.  No hour, minute, or second of the day is yours.  That line sounds like you're shoving God away, and just giving him the leftovers.  That's just how it sounds to me.  Just always remember no second of the day is yours.

Peace. Love. Forgiveness.
  Blessings and Guidance

Gifted, God gives us the freedom to make choices...your choices are yours and my choices are mine...James
