I am disappointed at the way you sometimes act like you do you say that your a friend at times I wonder if thats true I too, need your encouragement; your giving of comfort perhaps you don't realize that this silence hurts. |

it does, but if we own no expectations of someone, then we will not be hurt... beautiful write which describes missing someone....and the way our souls need |

It's so odd, I just said that myself yesterday, that when we expect something from someone, we set ourselves up for disappointments. Sometimes though, we need their encouragement as much as the next person does yanno, no matter how long they have been a friend and perhaps they just don't realize it? Much love to you, lady. |

Just finished an email to a re-acquainted best friend from high school days...both of us realizing through several shared missives now, how much we thought of one another then, but hadn't said the words that would have brought each of us such encouragement back then. Strange, how we think we know what others have in their head... without really inquiring.  Good one, little one! |

"I too, need your encouragement; your giving of comfort perhaps you don't realize that this silence hurts." “perhaps you don't realize” Maybe be open, to the point, and explaining the why of the hurt would help. Sometimes others just don’t understand how important they are to the ones who are looking for, and need that reflective admiration and support. Then there are those who just don’t get it, or don’t have the capacity to be supportive. Above all believe that you have importance in your life, and there is always someone out there who will understand and be supportive. Look for a friend to share what you have to offer, someone who will listen and share themselves with you. There are over 300,000,000 in the US alone. Keep trying. Yes I feel someones silence now... when we have friends, of course we want genuine friends that care for us and are concerned for us...that is the expectation of a friendship...that is the value of a friendship...James |
